Chilling - Legendary Waterfall - by Otai

There is a legendary waterfall that is rumoured to be very beautiful. It is a well kept secret - the area needs protection. Then as it is not developed, reaching the waterfall itself and playing around it, is treacherous. No safety measures are installed for those not familiar with outdoor life! Also remember that having large crowd is not an assurance but false sense of security.

You want to know its whereabouts? After crossing the steel bridge {on the way to Frasers Hill} you can park you car at the left. The trail starts another 100 meters up, take the small turning on the right. You can also cross the road from the parking place and scramble down to the river below. There is a signboard to inform hikers that camping is prohibited. If you decide to camp along the river, please be warned. This stretch of river from the road in to the park area had taken many lives. The open area looks tame, sudden flash flood submerges most dry ground !

Follow the clear trail and be prepared that you will have to cross the river several times! Not all crossings are in the open air, a few have the river water weaving in between boulders. Current is swift as the river is going through rapids. Water level here varies from 0.5 - 1 meter deep. This is a trek of about 2-3 kilometer and it will takes about 1 hour 30 minutes with thigh deep water at some of the crossings.

At the end of this exciting trek, a truly magnificent sight awaits you. There in front of you, is this monstrous fall, a great sight to behold. The vertical fall of the water has over the years carved great cervices on the rocks.Beware of the wet rocky walls by the fall. The fall of water is so forceful that its sprays cover the whole vicinity, giving it a misty ethereal atmosphere. The waterfall is about 50 meters tall. What is frightening, this volume of water drops within a deep crevices carved out from the cliff surfaces. A giant water sprout with plenty of "smoke".At the base rocks break up the falling wall of water before it enters into a 50 meters wide pool of varying depth.

If you still have the energy and are curious enough, follow a trail up the steep bank to the right of the fall. You will pass another waterfall (not accessible) before you reach the third waterfall. This place is better suited as picnic than that at the 1st Waterfall.Do bring your camera along to record your memorable trip to these remote falls!

Introducing - Lata Kinjang the next destination ..by Otai

Bros today I would like to introduce to all of you about Lata Kinjang, I got this information after conducting some research on web. Perhaps this could be our next destination.

StatePerak
LocationNear Chenderiang
Coordinates and mapN04 18.14' E101 15.38'
Water SourceStream
Waterfall ProfileTall cascades, vertical fall
AccessibilityFrom carpark

This waterfall is one of the best known falls in Malaysia, because it can be seen very well from the N-S highway. But many people have never actually visited the fall, because the access road is not straightforward. Coming from KL via the N-S highway, you take the Tapah exit and continue north on the trunk road nr 1. Follow the signboards to Chenderiang. Past this village the road to the falls is clearly indicated. At the end of this raod, there are hawker stalls and you can park your car.

Lata Kinjang is one of the tallest falls of Malaysia. From the highway only the middle part with the huge cascade can be seen. Cement steps bring you to a suspension bridge at the beginning of the main cascade

From the top of the cascade the view of the surrounding landscape with deep down the N-S highway, is spectacular.
It is possible to climb up further, to the delapidated pump station, but you must take care, orienteering is not always easy. To go down, you can cross the stream and find your way down. through the neglected rubber plantations. Not easy, this is Orang Asli country, there are numerous vague trails, and take care about traps! If you keep left, going down, you should come across the Lata Yuk, so take care.

Uluxpedition Part 2 on 01-02-07- by Adzla

setelah puas bersuka ria dan membuat benda-benda yang tak senonoh (seperti di atas)...langsung diteruskan perjalanan mencari kedamaian yang diidam-idamkan.

After several minutes of obstacles and uncertained directions, finally we've made it to Mordor.

Azam pergi naik Mordor. See the size of him and the waterfall.

Ali dengan expresi takut-takut nak berenang.

Seterusnya adalah gambar-gambar lepak di Mordor sebelum kitorang berangkat pulang pada petang hari tersebut.

Setelah berpenat di Mordor, it's now for us to leave this place as we've promised to our wife that "Honey, I'll be home early dear.", balas si isteri "you better be, or else ".
